Daily maintenance and upkeep of agricultural fire hoses
2025-10-28 10:49:37

The lifespan of agricultural fire hoses is closely related to daily maintenance. Many farmers neglect maintenance, leading to premature scrapping of water hoses and increasing costs. This article will introduce scientific maintenance methods.

1、 Cleaning and drying

Rinse the interior with clean water after each use to prevent sedimentation and blockage. When drying, avoid direct sunlight and hang in a cool and ventilated place. If the water hose is contaminated with chemicals (such as pesticides), it needs to be cleaned with neutral detergent.

2、 Storage conditions

Environmental requirements: Store in a dry and dark warehouse, with a recommended temperature range of -10 ℃ to 40 ℃.

Roll up method: Roll up according to the original factory method, avoiding heavy pressure or folding storage.

3、 Regular inspection

Appearance inspection: Check monthly for cracks, holes, or loose interfaces.

Stress testing: Conduct a 1.5 times work stress test at least once a year to ensure the ability to withstand pressure.

4、 Common problem handling

Leakage: Replace the sealing ring or temporarily repair with waterproof tape.

Aging: If there is obvious hardening or discoloration on the surface, it needs to be replaced immediately.

Good maintenance habits can extend the lifespan of water hoses by 3-5 years and significantly reduce the frequency of replacement.
